The Blocks by Studio Toogood & Penfolds

Monday 26 March 2012

Wine brand Penfolds and Studio Toogood have collaborated to produce The Blocks - a pop-up restaurant and wine lounge near Sydney Harbour Bridge which will teach guests to learn about their palates using a series of scented totem poles.

Open for three weeks, the restaurant will invite guests to view over 260 artworks created by Studio Toogood, alongside installations by five up-and-coming Australian artists who have each taken inspiration from a different Penfolds wine.

Chef Jock Zonfrillo has created an innovative menu for the restaurant, made up of dishes such as Smoked Tommy Ruff, Mayura Station Wagyu Carpaccio, and Apple Cucumber Curry - and a team of sommeliers called The Noses will help guests choose wine to accompany their meal.
